What is JSD?

John S Dunlop & Associates Pty Ltd ("JSD") is an Australian mining engineering consultancy, founded in 1992, offering specialised corporate and technical services in mining engineering to clients in Australia and overseas.

Who is John Dunlop?

John is the company's principal minerals consultant with over 50 year's diversified minerals experience.

Who/what is JSD?

JSD is a private company registered in Western Australia, whose Principal and Managing Director, John Dunlop, is a respected mining engineer with 50 years' experience in a wide range of mineral commodities, surface and underground, in Australia and overseas, ranging from technical feasibility through project finance, construction and commissioning, through to operations, marketing and related management.

In addition to the Principal, JSD can offer Associates whose experience best fits the requirements of the particular assignment, but, as a general rule, they will be qualified mining engineers of high calibre, either Fellows of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy  ("the AusIMM") or its overseas equivalent.

When/where does JSD operate?

The consultancy, since 1992 has had its registered office in Perth, moving to n Queensland around 2008.  Since that time it has been involved in assignments in Australasia, SE Asia, S America, Africa, Europe, Mongolia and the former Russian republics.

What are JSD's activities?

The company specialises in providing mining engineering services, though it has strong links with specialist geological consultancies, metallurgical testwork and process design engineers and project construction engineers.  Its personnel can be tailored to fit  smoothly into multi-disciplinary teams involved with project pre-feasibility, detailed feasibility, project planning and the like, or to provide confidential, focussed advice on mining or related corporate matters on a stand alone basis.

The consultancy is also able to offer assistance with ADR processes such as mediation, arbitration, expert determination and expert witness work.
